How do op amps really work?

 

I memorized the gain equations, even derived them at times. But did I really understand intuitively how op amps work? Later in my career, I learned how these devices have a simple role to play. And this role opened up a powerful window into op amp circuits - from the basic to the complex.

So these simple apps were created to place YOU in the role of the op amp. The goal is to give you a "gut feel" of how these versatile devices work. And hopefully, this intuition can breathe life into the equations that we've memorized for years.
